"Terms and Conditions: Your Guide to a Seamless Booking Experience"

Booking Process:

The booking form must be completed and signed. The person signing the booking form is doing so on behalf of all the guests staying at the villa. The booking form should be returned along with a "Rental Fee Deposit" of 20% of the total rental fee.

Loss or Damage Deposit:

Your "Loss or Damage Deposit" is a compulsory component of your holiday to protect the owners against any loss or damage to fixtures, fittings, and possessions. The deposit amount is €250,- and should be paid via bank transfer. The "Loss or Damage Deposit" should be transferred to the owner at the time of confirming your reservation. The owner will release the deposit within 3 - 4 weeks of your return home, provided there are no outstanding claims.

 

Confirmation and Payment:

Your booking will be confirmed upon receipt of the completed and signed booking form, the "Rental Fee Deposit," and the "Loss or Damage Deposit."

Balance and Payment:

The balance of your payment is due 12 weeks prior to the commencement of the rental. Non-payment by this time, unless previously agreed, may result in cancellation and loss of the deposit. Directions to your rental property will normally be dispatched 2 weeks before departure.

Accommodation Details:

The accommodation is reserved exclusively for the number of persons stated on the confirmation/invoice. No other persons are permitted to stay in the villa without the owner's written permission. Over occupancy can result in penalty charges and may be in contravention of local legislation.

Arrival and Departure:

The villa will normally be available after 16:00 on the day of arrival. To ensure that the accommodation can be prepared for new guests, it must be vacated no later than 10:00 on the day of departure. Every effort will be made to assist with arrival and departure arrangements outside these times. However, if the property is not vacated by the specified time, supplementary charges may be imposed and deducted from your deposit.

Cancellations:

  1. Cancellation charges apply as follows:

    • More than 84 days prior to arrival: Loss of the deposit paid.

    • 84 - 45 days prior to arrival: 50% of the villa rental fee.

    • 44 - 31 days prior to arrival: 75% of the villa rental fee.

    • 30 - 15 days prior to arrival: 90% of the villa rental fee.

    • 14 days or less prior to arrival: 100% of the villa rental fee.

Cancellation must be confirmed in writing and signed by the person who signed the booking form. If the full period of rental, which has been paid for, is not utilized due to late arrival or early departure, no refund is possible.

 

Passports/Visas:

The owner cannot accept responsibility for failure to carry valid passports, visas, licenses, or any other necessary documentation.

Force Majeure:

The owners cannot accept any liability or pay any compensation in circumstances amounting to force majeure, which prevent or affect the performance of contractual obligations. Force majeure includes events such as war, civil strife, natural or nuclear disasters, industrial disputes, pandemics, lockdowns, terrorist activities, fire, adverse weather conditions, unforeseen local building/roadworks, unavoidable technical problems with transport, and all similar circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, cancellation costs will still be charged.

Assumption of Risk and Liability:

By booking at Villa Alegria, you agree to use the accommodation at your own risk. You assume full responsibility and risk of loss resulting from your use of the accommodation. The owner of Villa Alegria is not liable for any damages or harm attributable to the foregoing. You understand and acknowledge that the owners of Villa Alegria shall have no liability relating to your use of the villa.

House Rules:

Please adhere to the following house rules:

  • Indoor smoking is not allowed.

  • Pets are not allowed.

  • Parties/events are not allowed.

  • Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 08:00.

Complaints:

If you have a problem or query during your holiday, please bring it to the attention of our local management company immediately. If no local management company is available, please contact the owner directly. If your complaint cannot be completely resolved locally, you must inform our management company and follow up within 28 days of your return home by writing to the owners. Failure to follow this procedure may result in the inability to investigate and rectify the problem, and we cannot accept responsibility for any claim.

Website Accuracy:

While we take great care to ensure the accuracy of information on our website, there may be times when certain facilities are not available. We will endeavor to inform you of any such changes in advance, although these changes will not entitle you to cancel your reservation without penalty.

Photographs and Descriptions:

Photographs are intended to give an overall impression of the villa. We do not accept any responsibility for items of furniture or other details that appear in photographs but may have been changed or removed since then. We also do not accept responsibility for any changes to aspects or views since photographs were taken or descriptions were compiled.

Swimming Pools:

Please take great care in the pool area, especially if under the influence of alcohol, as accidents may occur. Diving into the swimming pool or using it while under the influence of alcohol is not recommended. Children must be supervised in the swimming pool and surrounding areas at all times. Pool heating, if available, must be requested at the time of booking and will be subject to an additional charge payable locally to the owner. If requested at the villa, the cost will be deducted from your deposit.

Change in Terms and Conditions:

We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of this Agreement or modify/discontinue the services offered by Villa Alegria at any time. Changes will go into effect on the effective date shown in the revised agreement. We will provide notice of any changes by posting the revised agreement on the applicable website(s) or app(s) and/or sending an email notice to you using the contact information you provided. By continuing to use the services after the effective date of any modifications, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.

No Acceptance of Terms and Conditions:

If you do not agree with all of the provisions of this Agreement, do not access and/or use the services.
