How to Maintain a Healthy Septic system

To ensure our septic system functions properly during your stay, please follow these important guidelines:

Dispose of Waste Properly

• Only flush human waste and toilet paper.**

• "Use a trash can" for other items such as feminine hygiene products, baby wipes, diapers, paper towels, and facial tissues. Do not flush** dental floss, cigarette butts, coffee grounds, cat litter, or any plastic materials.

Use suitable Products
- Whenever possible, use **biodegradable, non-toxic, and phosphate-free products. No bleach** is allowed. Do not pour** solvents, oils, paints, or large volumes of chemicals down the drain.

Do Not Pour Grease or solids Down the Drain
- **Dispose of cooking grease and oil** in a container and throw it in the trash. Grease can clog the pipes and drain field.
- **Limit the disposal of foodwaste** as they can introduce excessive solids into the septic system, leading to blockages and increased need for pumping.
